Gertie's grandmother has thrown her a graduation party. Only hiccup is that Gertie is a secret dropout: she quit med school a year ago to become a cartoonist and still hasn't told any of her family. As she attempts to navigate her party without raising suspicion, her fear of disappointing the matriarch soon transforms into haunting hallucinations in the form of her cartoons that threaten to expose the truth and ruin everything.

Alors qu'elle tente de naviguer la fête sans éveiller de soupçon, sa peur de décevoir la matriarche se concrétise en hallucinations prenant la forme de ses caricatures qui menacent de dévoiler la vérité.
